Instead of purchasing a full hobby box, collectors buy a specific team, division, or random spot in a break. Once all spots are filled, the sealed products are opened live on stream, and every card pulled is assigned to the appropriate collector.

A Simple Example:

Imagine a hobby box costs $200 and contains cards from all 32 NHL teams.

Rather than spending $200 on the entire box, you could purchase the San Jose Sharks spot for a fraction of the cost. If any Sharks cards are pulled during the break, they're yours.

Getting into a break is simple. Whether you're a seasoned collector or completely new to the hobby, the process only takes a few steps.

1. Choose a Break

Browse our upcoming breaks and find one that interests you. Each break will list the products being opened and the available spots.

2. Pick Your Spot

Most breaks fall into one of two formats:

🎲 Random Team Breaks

In a Random Team break, you purchase a spot rather than a specific team.

Once the break fills, all participating collectors and all NHL teams are randomized live. Whatever team you're assigned becomes your team for the break.

Example:

• You purchase one spot.

• The randomization assigns you the Vancouver Canucks.

• Every Canucks card pulled during the break belongs to you.

Random Team breaks are often the most affordable way to participate in premium products while adding an element of surprise and excitement.

🏒 Pick Your Team (PYT) Breaks

In a Pick Your Team break, you choose the exact team you want before the break begins.

Team prices vary based on checklist strength, rookie potential, star players, and overall demand.

Example:

• You purchase the San Jose Sharks.

• Every Sharks card pulled during the break belongs to you.

PYT breaks are perfect for collectors who want to chase their favorite team, prospect, or player.

3. Watch the Break Live

When the break begins, all sealed products are opened live on stream. Every pack is opened on camera so you can follow along and see every hit as it happens.

4. Cards Are Sorted

After the break, all cards are sorted by team and verified to ensure they go to the correct collector.

5. We Ship Your Cards

Your cards are carefully packaged and shipped directly to you. Whether you hit a base card, a Young Guns rookie, a patch, or a huge autograph, it gets treated with the same care we'd want for our own collection.

It's one of the most common questions we hear from new collectors, and the honest answer is:

Sometimes you won't hit a big card—and that's completely normal.

Every hobby product is different, and no breaker can guarantee that every spot will produce a superstar rookie, autograph, patch card, or other major hit. That's simply part of the excitement of collecting.

You Still Receive Your Cards

Even if you don't pull a massive hit, you'll still receive any cards from your assigned team(s) that come out of the break.

That could include:
